Brad Aham, CFA, CFP®

Brad joins Highland Financial Group with over 25 years of investing experience. He spent 18 years with State Street Global Advisors (SSGA), one of the world's largest institutional asset managers. At SSGA, Brad was a senior portfolio manager leading the Active Emerging Markets Equity team, a group of 12 portfolio managers worldwide investing in emerging markets on behalf of pensions, sovereign wealth and mutual funds.

Prior to joining Highland, Brad was co-founder of a real estate private equity firm that helped individuals invest in income properties and development projects. In this role, Brad was directly responsible for all aspects of the company's operations, including asset selection, investment/asset management and investor relations.

Brad earned his Bachelor of Mathematics and Economics from Brandeis University. He holds an MBA and Certificate of Financial Planning from Boston University and serves as a member of CFA Society Boston. Brad is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and a holder of the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.

Brad is a volunteer board member with Essex County Greenbelt Association, a non-profit land trust in Essex, Massachusetts. As chairperson of their Investment Policy Committee since 2010, he helps oversee the trust's $15MM endowment.

Brad lives in Newbury, MA with his family.
