Michael Kalina

Michael Kalina brings over 15 years of experience through his Financial Consulting Services business collaborating closely with the Highland Financial Group team of financial professionals.

He focuses on working with employer-sponsored, qualified retirement plans, specifically within the public-school systems, educating, guiding, and preparing teachers for their retirement and future.

Mike works closely with his clients to create strategies to help them reach their long-term financial goals, such as retirement planning, college savings, insurance needs and investment advisory services.  He is a member of the firm’s Retirement Benefits Group.

Mike earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from the University of Kansas and holds the designation of Retirement Benefits Specialist-Tax Sheltered Plans.

Mike lives in Sudbury, MA with his wife Liz and son Henry.  When not working with his clients, you can find Mike in the kitchen refining his culinary skills to the delightful benefit of his family and friends.  He is also a passionate Kansas Jayhawk football fan, Rock Chalk!
